The MAVIC Speed Release thru axle here in the 12x142mm rear axle version, is an innovation that will certainly mark its time when the disc brake becomes the norm. Lighter, faster, more rigid and safer, it only has advantages. Once the wheel is removed from the bike, it remains inside the hub thanks to a fixing system and thus allows a faster change of the wheel. The integrated torque limiter works like a torque wrench and has allowed the French brand to design a strong and light axle with only 40 to 47 grams depending on the version (front or rear). It ensures identical tightening for each use. Only works with Speed Release compatible frames.
